An online adolescent psychotherapeutic group fighting against the “necessities of nature”

Abstract

The aim of this article is to describe the formation of an online adolescent psychotherapeutic group during the period of lockdown in Italy. The pandemic has completely upset teenagers' daily life, who have been deprived of their social relationships in a period of their life in which human rapport is fundamental both for knowledge acquisition and growth. This psychotherapeutic adolescent group is founded on an idea of adolescence based on Massimo Fagioli’s Human Birth Theory which refuses the psychoanalytic and neurobiological model of adolescence as a developmental disorder.
