Abstract

In this interview, Riccardo Noury, spokesman for Amnesty International Italia, highlights the activities his organisation has carried out to safeguard the rights of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers; amongst these, the right to psychic health stands out. The affective traumatisms and tortures these people have undergone in their countries have strained this right to the limit. Noury also raises the issue of psychiatrists who work for Countries that turn into torturers – such as the USA in Guantanamo – or segregationists – such as Russia, China and North Korea.
